Solar panels and heat pumps should be supplied and fitted by a company who will register them through the Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS), which confirms the quality and reliability of renewable energy technologies. You can check whether a supplier is MCS certified here: www.mcscertified.com.
Your installation will need to be registered with your energy provider, and most companies will help you with this. Heat pumps installers will obtain the government funding of £7,500 on your behalf and take this into account in their quotation.
